CDS Waveney FC were first formed as an under 13's team in 1984 playing in the Norfolk and Suffolk youth league, and were then playing under the name of Broadlands FC. In 1988 they joined the Lowestoft and district league where in the 1990/91 season they won division 3, in the 1994/95 season they were promoted to division 1.
This is now the eleventh season in the top flight making them the second longest serving team in the division. In the last four seasons we have reached two league cup finals, winning one of them against the strong Hearts of Oak team.
In 2004 CDS came to the rescue when we were looking for a sponsor, the name of the team has now changed to CDS Waveney, and this season we are running a reserve team to. The continued support by both Kevin and Keith at CDS has been superb, both teams would like to say a big thank you, wishing them all the best in their successful business.
